thoughts from a miniature: The Official OccupyWallStreet Declaration

kesodia:

“As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies. As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality that…

Rolling On the Laughing Floor: We don't care anymore.

rolfraccoon:

I’m by no means a hippie, nor am I totally opposed to government. I agree that government is essential in running a country. However, I have to be honest. We’re very very controlled by the government and if you aren’t aware of this or you’re not afraid of this, then you are living in blissful…

NONE of the Occupy Wallstreet idiots have homes like these. They either live in Apartments, homes or live on campus.
Imagine if your life was like this.
It’s not. So get over yourself.

Neither is anyone else in America. Yes there are homeless people, yes there are people in the world who live in conditions like this.
Occupy Wallstreet is about the conditions within America, not the world. This picture is completely irrelevant. Try again!

Yeah, well guess what? That used to be America. Remember the Hoovervilles? We as Americans decided that we deserved better and we fought to improve our social and economic standards. And now because of corporate greed, those values we hold dear are threatened. This scene right here could very well become America if the corporations’ greed is not curtailed. Stating that we should give up improving our conditions and providing a better standard of decency and morality is not negated simply because it is worse somewhere else. To say so is an irrelevant conclusion.

pretty childish, but I chuckled.

This movement is not about doing away with large corporations, it’s about corporations/politicians/the fed getting their greedy hands out of the working-classes money. Not to “take down” or crash Apple, or Marlboro, or Canon. That would just be ridiculous. It’s not a war against the wealthy, it’s a war against a corrupt government & broken monetary system.
WE want a sound money system, to fix the monetary system, end the Federal Reserve, stop causing wars to create money, & to fix the American job situation.
That is the message, that is what is happening. There are other outraged American’s who are mad about a number of other things as well. It’s going to make history, & those mocking it or making fun of it will be blindsided in the end. Keep covering your ears.
